Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes.
-Jim Carrey
Life is the culmination of all experiences we have had, and with each new experience, our life changes and develops into something new. Life can go from fascinating to terrifying and everything in-between, but the one thing life will always be is a journey. We all travel from point A to B, and no matter what one does; we always arrive at point B, what does matter is what we do in the meantime. This journey, this accumulation of escapades is made possible through our actions, and pleasurable through our company. Sharing an experience with those you love can make any experience infinitely more valuable. There are certain people that will always be worth having an adventure with: family and friends will always be there no matter where you go. Of course, there are certain episodes that you can only go through with your friends, and some that only family can help you to the other side of, experiences like these are what the best memories are made from. Those memories are some of the best to have, but they ultimately belong to two different stories, yours and theirs, two stories ultimately set on different paths. Memories that are most dear are those that share a story, a memory that can be shared is one that is worth searching for, as is the person to share it with. This person makes the most innocuous event a highlight, they turn the spotlight on what was once looked over, this person makes life easy, and adventure worthwhile so long as they are by your side. They are someone worth looking for.
Each partner is like a fingerprint, exclusive to each person, un-imitable, and holds the key to his or her entire identity; thus I cannot tell you what to look for, as I cannot tell you what your fingerprint holds. All I can say is that finding them for the first time is like traveling to the eastern edge of the world to see the very first sunrise, and each moment with them is an indescribable cascade of unadulterated intoxication. Though I cannot tell you what, who or where to look, I will give an example. Her name is Sarah. My life up to one year and eight months ago (happy anniversary if you’re reading this) lacked nothing; I had, and continue to have a sensational family, I had seen the world and experienced her splendor and I had known what it means to care for people. But on that fateful day, she materialized in my life, and I knew the bliss of a shared path. From the moment I saw her, it was nothing she said nor did, I was immediately captured by her eyes. In those two, perfectly place eyes is encapsulated an entire cosmos, with her at the center. After one passing glance into her mesmerizing eyes, I was at a loss, and could do nothing but love her.
It has been almost two years since I fell for her, and since then each day I am with her becomes a shining, shimmering, splendid incarnation of delight. There is no friction between the two of us; she is in my corner until the TKO, as I am in hers. Though I have formed great memories with others, when with her, I don’t need to try or force anything. We simply fit together, and in doing so we create a perfect union, one that is unbeatable and so long as we are together we form something stronger than titanium, more valuable than diamond, and beautiful than the auroras. With her, my heart does not skip a beat; there are no butterflies in my stomach nor do any trepidations tangle my tongue, because in that moment there is just her. Nothing else is present and the world shrinks down and becomes encapsulated in a pair of prepossessing eyes, time slows down to an instant, seized by the splendor of the moment and a crystal clear memory is formed. It is this indescribable feeling of unspoken rapture, that is someone worth looking for.
In short, there is no real way to describe how I feel, because although there is an estimated 1,025,109 words in the English language, no combination of them could do justice to the pure joy I feel when I am with her. I cannot quantify my feelings towards her, as I do not know the extent of them myself. All I know is that her eyes put the stars to shame, her presence is enough for me to forget everything and simply be with her, her touch causes euphoric debilitation. Put simply, without any excess, unnecessary gargantuan elocution nor unnecessary involuted constitution which leaves the recipient of this prose more nonplussed than they were at the commencement of this venture, she is amazing, and I feel honored to have found someone worth looking for.
